Too long
I just realized that it has been almost four months since the last post here on SEBlog… I think that any family news has been communicated either on my other site or via the phone, but I wonder if this site has lost its purpose. The point of this whole thing was to keep a record of Sebastian’s life, and I still want to do that, but is this the proper format? Maybe it is, and I just need to be disciplined about it’s upkeep. Perhaps a weekly update to start. I don’t know and will have to think about it…
Short update
It has been a while, no? Sorry ’bout that. Haven’t had the urge to post lately, I guess. And even now I don’t have much to say, except that there are some newer photos up at our gallery. The pics from school are from Sebastian’s walk-a-thon: The kids walked for a half-mile around the school to (surprise) raise money. He had a good time and it is for a good cause, but a half-mile? That’s 6 blocks! Seems to me they could’ve made it more challenging, but maybe that’s just me. The other photos, for the most part, come from our day spent in Claremont last week. So have a look and enjoy!
Drawings
Sebastian began drawing pictures of rockets yesterday evening, inspired by Wallace & Gromit in “A Grand Day Out”. He then moved on to jet planes an filled page after page. Note the flags on some of his jets, as well as the details of the person guiding the plane on the runway. We thought we’d share his art with the family, so enjoy!
One more thing…
Another video (2 in one day! Wow!):

Hello!
Let’s see… It’s been a few weeks since the last post but I don’t know that there is that much catching up to do. There are some new photos up, including the last from our wonderful (though short) visit with Aunt Jean & Daniel. I can’t believe it’s been over 2 weeks since they were here! Easter was nice & Sebastian enjoyed hunting for the (plastic) eggs left by the Easter bunny, and we made an effort to go to a park on the cooler side of town (Santa Monica) to no avail (it was CLOSED for Easter). Oh well… we hopped on the bus and went to a non-fenced in park in Highland Park instead, so it worked out okay, despite the high temps.
Now we’re back to crisp spring weather and AM & Sebastian have spent some time at some other parks – the Cornfield Park & the Monster Park. Unfortunately the wildflowers at the Cornfield Park will be gone next year – apparently an open field for people to enjoy the beauty of nature is less important than, oh, I don’t know, having a place to host fireworks events. Grrrrrr…
Finally, a new video:

Oregon photos
AM & Sebastian took lots of pics during their brief stay with aunt Anna-Marie last weekend, and I finally got around to posting them here. Enjoy!
Family planning
Since AM had an appointment in Santa Monica yesterday I picked Sebastian up from school and we hopped on the Big Blue Bus to meet her. Since we had an hour to kill we were able to catch up. We talked about his trip to Oregon and how he wants me to go along next time. I told him that our next trip would be to Ohio in July, where we’d be sharing a house with Ma, Pa, uncle Mike, aunt Jenn, Caleb and Owen. He said, “Caleb?!” I said, “Are you excited to see Caleb?”
“Yes. I told my teacher that my brother Caleb is allergic to milk.”
“Brother? He’s actually your cousin, you know.”
“I know,” he replied dejectedly. “Do you have a brother?”
“Uncle Mike is my brother. Do you want a brother?”
“Yes.”
“Or a sister?”
“Both!”
So AM and I had better, uh, get busy I guess.
He’s a suitor!
Last night, there was much goofing around and silliness on our way to Trader Joe’s. The three of us were walking down the ramp from the platform, and Sebastian suddenly turned to Jeff and said, “I’m BONAFIDE!” We couldn’t stop laughing after that. He’s heard one or both of us say it at some point, but not lately. It is amazing (Huell Howser inflection here) what children notice when you think they’re not even paying attention.
Later at home, one of us asked him a question, and he said,”Yes, I would like that indeed.”
